How a Pest Inspection Works:

Our Pest Inspectors will arrive at the home and begin searching for any evidence of pest, insects, or organisms. We follow the guidelines created by the National Pest Management Association and the NPMA-33 inspection procedure, as well a general pest inspection. An exterior perimeter inspection inspection is done, in addition to observations of the crawlspace, basement, attic, and garage areas. The inspection includes a search for visible evidence of the following items; live insects, dead insects, shelter tubes, exit holes, staining, visible signs of wood damage, pest droppings, evidence of nesting, openings, and penetrations that are not secured. In addition, we’ll also look for evidence of any past treatments performed.

Additionally we’ll look for preventative measures that can be taken to reduce future infestations, such as: wood in contact with soil, poor grading and drainage, firewood or debris stored near or inside home, insufficient ventilation, plumbing leaks, foundation cracks, roof leaks, foundation cracks, roof leaks, and standing water. Any limitations or inaccessible areas will be noted. For more consumer information on pest control and prevention visit Pest-World.
